“O’ hark my dear Lord and Christ!
I am gratified to give thanks each day,
For You wake me with a renewed mind,
With gleams of new life, all-embracing.Be my immortal friend till my dreams die,
Help me cope with rivalries, shames and shams,
Without seeking vengeance in my heart.Help me delight in peace with infinite love,
Equipped each day by You, O’ Soul of Divine.
Fortified to pray always, even in distress,
Through failures, discomforts or dejection.Watch over me as a shepherd tends his flock,
Be always by me, O’ God, to guard me,
Assigning to me victory uncommon to man.Amen!”
