In Psalm 121:1-2, the psalmist writes, "I lift up my eyes to the mountains—where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth." This verse reminds us that even in the midst of troubles and dangers, our help comes from God. We can trust in His sovereignty and care, lifting our eyes to Him in times of need.A prayer for comfort and strength in times of trouble:
Lord, in the midst of a world filled with troubles and dangers, I find comfort in Your promise to care for me.
Despite the heartaches and hardships, I am assured that I am not forsaken.
So, I lift my eyes to holy heaven, raising my voice in prayer.
In the midst of grievous moments, I entrust my life into Your care.
Hold me up and strengthen me, for my own resources are insufficient.
My heart is heavy, weighed down by the deceit and masks of those around me.
I am consumed by rage, disgust, and sorrow, and my desire to pray is wavering.
Please, Lord, look upon the deceivers who use their words to manipulate and harm.
Fix me for Your will, deliver my steps from dark traps.
Let my life be a reflection of Your life, and grant me the help I desire.
