When the World Seems To Be Overpowering

I'm human Lord, but I always try

I have lots more of myself to surrender:

Take them away from me by force:

All my desires, my interests, and walks

Give me much of your overcoming being

Lord loving father, take control of my life

When the world seems to be overpowering, help me cling to your precepts

I want to be strong so that nothing can separate me from your love.

Fill my heart with your perfection and ways

Lord, I beseech you – be my friend and guide

Be the mother and father to me, you know I have none.

This troublesome world had so much against me

Help me, deliver me – bless my coming in and my going out

Thank you, Lord, for the time you granted me to pray

The courage I get from waking up alive and well.

It’s all because of you, Lord, my strength and hope,

Bless the day and lead me through,

Wipe off those traps before my reaching, Lord

All day remind me to be good unconditionally
